How a correction is recorded
The source and affected claim are checked first. When a material error is confirmed, the page or product record is updated. The affected page receives a correction note or correction date when readers need that context. A reviewed date changes only when the content receives a real review.
This process does not promise that every disagreement leads to a change. A manufacturer statement may remain labeled as that manufacturer's claim when independent evidence is unavailable. The editorial policy explains the source rules.
